Cory and Chrissy Cooper have been married for 8 years. They have a 6yr old son named CJ, a 4 year old daughter named Maggie, and baby Annie on the way.
Cory was called to full time ministry in 2016 and has served as the executive pastor of Orlando Baptist Church since 2018. On July 31, 2024, God gave Cory the burden to become a lead pastor. Through prayer and counsel, the specific call to plant a church in Orlando was confirmed in April 2025. Lord willing they will plant Redeemer Church Orlando in the Fall of 2027.
Cory is participating in the Orlando Church Planting Network finishing residency as well as a SEND Network residency through Central Sanford. The focus for 2026 is prayer - seeking the Lord for his plans, his purposes, and how this church plant can join in. Weekly prayer meetings are being held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 at OBC. The Coopers are holding 3 interest meetings this fall and more to come in 2027.
Cory holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling and Theology from Liberty University. In addition to pastoring, Cory serves on the board of Freeway Orlando and financial administrator of World Hope, Inc.
