Meet Ben Woolbright | Harbor Bible Church — Orlando Church Planting Network

Hi,

My name is Ben Woolbright. My wife, Rebecca, and I have been married for a little over five years, and we recently welcomed our first child, a son named Elliot.

I have been passionate about church planting since my time in seminary, where I completed multiple church-planting internships in challenging contexts, including Nevada and Utah. Since graduating, I have served exclusively in church plants, which has continued to deepen my heart for church planting.

In 2024, our pastor invited me to pursue a residency at our church, Trinity Church of Lake Nona, with the end goal of planting a church. Rebecca and I both sensed that God was leading us in this direction. As the residency now comes to a close, we have seen God close many doors along the way while faithfully opening the right one at the right time.

We are currently preparing to plant Harbor Bible Church in the Moss Park area of Southeast Orlando, just outside of Lake Nona. Moss Park is home to approximately 50,000 people and currently has only six churches, while the surrounding Lake Nona region continues to experience significant population growth. The area is also projected to be one of Orlando’s fastest-growing regions over the next two decades.

Our vision is twofold: to establish a lasting gospel presence in a severely under-churched community and to welcome, disciple, and serve the many people who will be moving into the area over the coming years. God is good. We look forward to setting out on this journey that He has called us to and pray that He will go before us!
